ATM

Hours:

Monday through Friday: 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Weekends: 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. 


All visitors are welcome to dine in the cafeteria. 


Vending Machines 

Vending machines are located on the first floor inside the cafeteria. 


Calling Your Nurse 

Your room is connected to the nursing station via an intercom system. To call your nurse, press the red NURSE call button located on the pillow speaker. For your safety, if you have any questions on how to use the call button, please ask any caregiver. 


Chapel

Location: First Floor


Mass in San Pedro (can be viewed on Channel 8): 

Monday through Friday: 12:00 p.m. 

Saturday: No Mass 

Sunday: 12:00 p.m. 


Electrical Appliances 

Only battery-operated devices are allowed in patient rooms. For your safety, please do not use electric hairdryers, curling irons, razors, heating pads, portable heaters, DVRs, computers or other electric devices. 


Fire Safety 

We conduct fire drills from time to time. If you hear an alarm, stay where you are. In an actual emergency, hospital staff will tell you what to do. 


Flowers

Flowers are delivered to patient rooms by our volunteers. Please note, for the patient’s safety, flowers are not allowed in the Intensive Care Unit.


Hearing Impaired and Interpreters

Interpreter services and other devices are available for free to patients who don’t speak English or are hearing impaired. Please ask one of our caregivers for more information. 


Mail 

Mail and packages will be delivered to you by a hospital volunteer. Mail received after you leave the hospital will be forwarded to your home or returned to the sender. 


Medicines

Please do not bring any prescription or over-the-counter medicines to the hospital. All medicines you take in the hospital need to be prescribed, filled and given to you by hospital staff. Tell your doctor about any medicines you regularly take. If you still need them, hospital staff will give them to you.

Parking

Complimentary parking is available at the visitor’s lot near the main entrance.


Pastoral Care

Patients and their loved ones can call upon our hospital chaplain at any time. Simply ask any caregiver to request these services. You can also find a chapel on the first floor.


Personal Belongings and Valuables

Personal care items such as contact lenses, eyeglasses, hearing aids and dentures can be stored on your bedside stand when not in use. Please do not put them on your bed or food tray to help avoid them being lost or damaged. Leave valuables like jewelry or cash at home, or give them to a trusted relative or friend to watch over. Providence Little Company of Mary Medical Center San Pedro cannot be responsible for replacing personal belongings.


Pharmacy

Hours:

Monday through Friday: 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Saturday: 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Closed Sunday


Most major insurances accepted. If you are discharged outside of the pharmacy’s hours, your nurse will help you with your prescriptions.

To place a call within the hospital, dial 0 and an operator will be happy to connect you.


Providence MyChart

To access your health care information online, please visit mychartor.providence.org.


Public Restrooms

For everyone’s health and safety, we ask visitors not to use patient restrooms. Public restrooms are located throughout the hospital. Ask one of our caregivers to direct you to the nearest one.


Rapid Response Team

You can call a critical-care response team to respond if your condition gets worse and you do not get the immediate care you need. Dial 88 to request this special service. Ask a staff member to learn more.


Smoking

For your health, we are a smoke-free environment. Smoking within the premises and at affiliated hospital sites is prohibited. Smoking is allowed outside in designated areas only. Please talk with your nurse for more information and guidelines. 


Telephone

All patient rooms are equipped with telephones. To place a call within the hospital, dial 0 and one of our hospital operators will be happy to connect you. To dial outside of the hospital, please dial 9, 1, then the seven-digit phone number.


TV

Each patient room has a television. Please be considerate of others by keeping the volume down and turning off your TV at bedtime. TVs are controlled by the bedside pillow speaker or side rail controls. Closed captioning is available for the hearing impaired. Ask a staff member if you have questions about using your TV. Wi-Fi

Connect to the “prov.guest” network for free Wi-Fi during your hospital stay.


Your Room

Private and double-occupancy rooms are available and assigned depending on availability and your medical needs. If you would like a private room and one is not available, we will make every effort to provide you one as soon as possible.
